Nesting pair of Killdeer @Sutter's Landing Regional Park

Mama Killdeer standing over her nest of eggs.

Papa Killdeer keeping an eye out for danger.

Beautiful clutch of Killdeer eggs.  So well camouflaged.

Papa feigning injury to lead any intruder away from the nest.

Miraculously, it appears three of the four have hatched.

Papa and two of his chicks who are one day old.

This little cutie decided to pose in the sunshine
